Twin Peaks

Filming at Kiana Lodge

Kiana Lodge is not only known for its natural Northwest beauty, but also as a renowned Twin Peaks filming location that has captured the hearts of fans around the world. First featured in 1989 and revisited in 2017, the series has become a global phenomenon, drawing visitors from across the globe to experience this iconic setting in person.

About Twin Peaks

The series opens with a horrifying scene, where it all began. Pete Martel, headed out fishing, looks out the window and finds the body of Laura Palmer, the town’s very own homecoming queen. Her body had washed ashore next to a giant log, which ultimately launched a series that has captivated audiences in so many different countries. So, who murdered Laura Palmer? It’s up to FBI Agent Cooper to find out who killed the hometown favorite. The series is a wonderful blend of the supernatural and the traditional, exposing the dark side of small-town life. In the sleepy little town of Twin Peaks, it seems like nearly everyone has a dark little secret that they’re keeping from everyone else.

Filming Highlights

As a key Twin Peaks filming location, our Main Lodge serves as much of the backdrop to the Great Northern Hotel and doubles as the Blue Pine Lodge. Built in 1929, much of the log cabin-like interior and unique hand painted murals are unmistakable. The building has gone through a few remodels over the years; however, it doesn’t draw away from the original character. One also cannot forget the big log where Laura washes ashore, wrapped in plastic.
