Our annual open house is nothing short of a huge production. It’s something we look forward to every year; it’s like a big ol’ fun family reunion. We feature our favourite vendors, and sometimes we really do only get to see them once a year. The room is set up like a wedding, so our wedding couples we have contracted for the year can see and experience the ebbs and flows of their own wedding. Our favourite florist, Tj with Garden Party, arranges the room with beautiful displays and faint fragrances. Dj Levi is not only a fabulous MC, but a fantastic musician who puts on a great show. Guests get to enjoy the local best-loved cupcakes from Bella Bella, and cake samples from Sweets and Savories. Ileen’s passionfruit poppy cake is simply out of this world, and is something that everyone needs to try!
This year, we really shook things up. We arranged the room differently than we have in the past, and IT ROCKED! This year we featured a wonderful mixture of our rounds and wooden farm tables from Olympic Farm Style Events. Vineyard chairs were provided by Court Party Rentals. This year’s colour scheme featured “Bone Faille” and “Latte” from BBJ Linen. Both colours, we felt fit so great in our space; the faille providing some much loved texture.
Dave and Ceasar, worked on rolling out some new menu items. Fresh seafood and charcuterie stations were huge productions, and never something anyone can refuse. Hands down, nothing beats Ceasar’s Filippino style whole roasted pig! He really does put his heart and soul into them, and from fridge to food, it’s quite an extensive process that requires about four to five days. We’ve had a lot of great compliments on it. Many enjoy devouring it as much as he likes to cook them. If pork isn’t your thing, our signature salmon is always something to talk about. It’s simply our staple here in the Pacific Northwest. Just keep in mind, this was just a sample and we have much more to offer.
At the bar, Steve and Rick always get hit the hardest after the food; with not only people wanting to taste our wines, but also with millions of questions about it. Our couples always feel the lines are going to be that way on their day, but trust us, we make every effort to ensure they won’t be. Steve and Rick take so much pride in what they do, they can talk to you all day about the history behind any product we carry. Everyone just has a lot of questions about what everything will be like for their perfect day, and they do their best to move people along, but make sure their questions are answered.
Our team enjoyed meeting and serving each and every one of you. Our sales team works hard to get to know each and every one of you so when it comes to your big day, our staff feels like they know you already! We would like to thank each and every one of you who made it out to our open house, we really couldn’t do it without you!
